Rule of thumb: If your head doesn’t belong there, neither does a camera. If your head wouldn’t be in position to look up a skirt, then don’t put a camera there. Anything that becomes exposed to a casual observer is fair game- but cameras up the skirt is cheating. Classy voyeurs have standards, you know. ---

Those camera shovers have absolutely no class at all. There are a lot of ample, legal opportunities to look up, down or straight, and take advantage and enjoy of the view, without the need to shove a camera underneath. The motto of the voyeur shout be RPRT–right place right time. If you have to make the opportunity, don’t bother. ---

This vaguely reminds me of the practice the TV news uses when doing “fat stories” these days. Some network or other did a story about overweight people and included shots of people’s faces. These people noticed they were being called fat on television, sued, and won. So now, for these ever-more-frequent stories, news stations use only shots people’s stomachs generally the body from the waist down, and I think it’s always from the back. Thus the people are not clearly identifiable and the stations are legally protected. While this is all legal and I guess as ethical as the situation is going to get, if you know what clothes you wore on Thursday and recognize your ass on the news, you probably feel kind of violated by it. The same applies to **Malacandra** ’s quote. Maybe nobody else knows who it is, but if you do, that’s bad enough. ---

Extend “Black Friday” to a black upskiirt view every day. Black undies and a black nylon/rayon skirt liner would result in a pretty dark video! My guess is that it would become a game to find the good videos. ---

Several years ago, I worked managing an office building in the Loop. We had escalators to and from the mezzanine level, which had polished chromed railings which angled up and in at foot level. One day, while on the escalator behind a woman, I glanced down and in the rflection caught a PERFECT view of her panty-less reagions. I blinked, made sure I was seeing what I was seeing, caught myself embarassed and turned away. When I got back to my office, i remarked to my colleague what I had seen, clearly also expressing mixed feelings about it. On one hand, hey that was interesting, but on the other hand, oh my GOD, did we know that was possible? My colleague looked at me like I was an total idiot, and said “Oh you didn’t know You have to be two steps behind on the up escalator and the view is just perfect. Go watch the security people one day and notice how they ‘happen’ to have to use the escalator when an attractive woman in a dress or skirt gets on”. I was completely creeped out and had a brief, pointed talk with the security contractor. The next year’s capital projects included a rebuild of those escalators and i was able to make sure the foot rails were of a brushed aluminum, much to the dismay of my security staff.
