# Upstate NY and NYC Dopers - how are you doing?

I just got power back this afternoon at 2:30. That makes right around six days, since it went out in the wee hours of Friday morning. I am taking tomorrow off work and just basking in a warm house.

I’m so happy for you! I know it was only 2 days for us, but when we went home, I felt compelled to clean the house and cook an actual home-cooked meal for my family (I’m not big on cooking, but in this case I felt I had to). I told my husband that even though we needed to replace the food in the fridge, I didn’t want to leave my house. There’s something unsettling about having a home and not being able to live in it. The relief I felt walking into a warm house was unbelievable. The relief you feel is mutiplied by 3. Enjoy!
