That’s because the racoon got it already.
We had a garage with a locking door. A raccoon decided to move in by prying up a corner.
We had a chimney. A family of racoons dediced to move in, so I smoked them out and capped the chimney with several contrete patio slabs. They pushed them off and moved back in.
Mothballs.
Tie some mothballs in pantyhose and hang them on the inside of the dumpster.
If that doesn’t discourage critters, sacrifice them for the greater good of the species.
