I used to supervise labor crews largely composed of black men, I hired them from a manpower agency in Harlem. Grown men, not teens. Some were lowlifes picking up a few bucks between crimes and most were good men struggling to make a living. They were, however, all distinct individuals and I would never judge one based on the behaviors of another. But I can’t claim to have worked in the “inner city” because its not 19 fucking 73 and no one says that anymore. And I admit I’ve never held a management position in a Midwestern fast food restaurant.
