Look at Turkey for an example of an Islamic government that doesn’t use a Taliban-style philosophy of “hating modernity/America/technology/white people/whatever”. And for that matter, not all Arabs are Muslims, and not all Muslims are Arabs. These groups are not synonymous with Muslim-Americans and Muslims living in the United States. So in retrospect it isn’t clear from the OP which group, Arabs or Muslims, you wanted to discuss… ---
