I know you’re not advocating for complacency here… I too am glad not to worry about Trump’s booger-picking finger on the nuclear button every day. But the problem was more than Trump. Senate Repubs need to be under the microscope more than ever. The judiciary needs to be under the microscope. They’ve proven they are dangerous partisans who value nothing but power.
McConnell is probably breathing a sigh of relief today. Don’t let him. They’ll be even more dangerous if we take our eye off them.
Well yeah, but remember, they’re “temporarily embarrassed millionaires”. Joe the Plumber thinks the reason he isn’t a millionaire is because billionaires have to pay 41% on their billionth dollar, otherwise it would surely be trickling directly into his pocket.
Sure. Blame the victim. “Why don’t you educate him that beating you up isn’t nice?” “Why can’t you outsmart him and trick him into not beating you?” “How could you let him kick you, punch you, slap you?”
IOW, what did you do to deserve your beating? Democrats always have to be the good ones. The perfect ones. And they don’t just get it from the right, either. And just like battered spouses, whenever a Republican is sort of nice to them, they fall all over them.
BTW, I have no idea how to defeat them except just keep getting out the vote and hope we can get enough numbers to reverse some of the gerrymandering and destroy the EC. Otherwise, we’re stuck with this forever.
And unlike battered spouses, there is no recourse. There are no shelters for battered citizens, there is no divorce court, there are no restraining orders to be had.
The Cheeto-Faced Extraterrestrial-Ferret-Wearing ShitGibbon has been credibly accused of sexual assault, possibly even actual rape, and yet, somehow, the nation is taken off guard to find that he is trying to force himself upon us.
Yes, that is why I Pit this nation. Well, I am growing soft in my old age: Greg Palast is OK. There are good ones, granted. Too few and far between, and too powerless, unfortunately.
Yes, and 7 Million disenfranchised, and they got away with it. No wonder they refuse to concede: it is unbelievable. They should have won, they stole it fair and square!
