See, Will came in **admitting** that he was going to lie to everybody. All of them would say that they knew he was a liar, but then they would inexplicably _believe him_. Danielle has never admitted that she would be a liar (not publicly – she has in the Diary Room). This may be too similar to the whole Vecepia/Neleh ending of _Survivor_, where people got upset that these two religious women would lie to them. One big difference I see is that Danielle has not been parading her religion around in the obnoxious way Vee did (thanking God whenever she would win a challenge, for example). But those who were backstabbed by Danielle may not see it that way, just as those in _Survivor_ were pissed off at Neleh (as I mentioned earlier). I am still pulling for Danielle, but I just don’t think it’s likely. Her best chance is if Jason boots Lisa this week, and then Amy wins HoH and boots Jason. That way Danielle gets into the finals with Amy (her best chance at winning) and without having to knife Jason in the back to do it. ---

Yeah, Danielle just gets criticism from everyone, but I don’t really see it. Will talked shit on everyone last year, and people thought he was funny and a good game player. She does it, and spends all her time strategizing, and is called “conniving.” I seriously don’t understand that, but that could just be my pro-Dani bias coming through. Jason? Bleh. To me, he’s sort of boring. ---

Jason may be boring, but sometimes boring is what wins because he hasn’t really pissed anybody off. Witness Tina and Ethan from a couple of _Survivor_s. ---

I’ll see your Tina and Ethan, and raise you Dr. Will and Richard Hatch. 😉 The more I think about it, the more I think it comes down to the group dynamics of the other contestants. Is this batch more likely to reward Jason or Danielle? Judging from the narcissism and self-delusion of many people (“they kicked ME out! Me!”), Jason’s got it wrapped up. I don’t think Danielle did herself any favors by throwing most HoH competitions and putting Jason in sticky situations. It did come off as her using him as a pawn, I think. ---

Live Feed Spoilers… . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The hamsters had a luxury competition for an afternoon at the beach. The value, of course, is mostly as a means of getting out of the house for a little while (a la Will and Bunky’s helicopter ride last year). The houseguests had to stay on the California beach equivalent of the mechanical bull, a machine that bucks a surfboard around. Amy and Jason won, with times of 1:53 for Amy (I believe) and 2:05 for Jason. This has prompted Dani to say that Amy is just too lucky and has “got to go”. Well, Jason, looks like you’ve got your marching orders for this week. Just something I noticed on Saturday…has anyone actually added up Dani’s Diary Room countdown after each eviction? It only comes to 10. “Eight down, two to go.” Which means that she’s not counting down for her personal victory, but for the Final Two. And we know who she’s bringing to the Final 2 if given her choice. Which makes me even more sure that she’s not playing for 1st place. I’ve been saying all along that I think she’s quite content to take 2nd to Jason. She has to be aware that she’s been playing very badly in the DR…yeah, Will pulled it off, but Dani’s no Will. Not even close. ---

Thank you, **WindFish**. 🙂 The Saturday show recap will be posted tomorrow morning sometime. Other people the house have been glued to the Dead Zone marathon on USA Network all day. And he definitely said doves, as Amy has talked about dove-hunting before. It’s more or less a Southern thing. It’s not as inane as it sounds, because most dove-hunters do eat them. But I have to admit that it was unnecessary to include that exchange and the producers had to know that it could only make Amy look bad to the majority of viewers who don’t share that culture. I’ve been living in fear since Saturday night that this thread would erupt into a massive hunters’ rights/animal rights debate. I’m impressed and very happy that it hasn’t and beg all of you to continue to restrain yourselves. We only have 10 days if this show left. Let’s not blow this thread to 20 pages over a hijack. Strangely enough, dove hunting is a popular activity in the South. I’m (unfortunately) from Tupelo, MS, and most of my male relatives–including my 7 year old nephew–participate. :eek: So dove hunting probably was probably referred to. Amy’s from West Memphis and went to Ole Miss…right? ---

[spoiler]And believe me, Dani was not happy with Jason bailing early, I don’t think. She kept glaring back at the house while she shivered in her little pee-filled boat. I think Dani finally let go because she knows she’s getting into the Final 2 no matter who wins the HoH. Lisa knows she can’t win against Jason, and Jason is going to hold to the alliance no matter what. Dani’s a shoo-in regardless. She may only get 2nd place, but she’s got some money coming.[/spoiler] ---

My early guess for the final three was Jason, Lisa and Roddy. I never gave Dani a second thought, but now I know that she is on a mission. There is something about her that is very unpalatable and devious IMHO, so I am rooting for Lisa or, more likely, Jason to win it all. ---
