Well, come on - I hope you’re not really suggesting that people should go to prison for 10 years for vandalism, as a way to circumvent due process. Maybe some of them should go to prison for 10 years, but then we need to actually prosecute them for a crime for which that kind of sentence is appropriate. ---

But it certainly would be scheudenfreudy if these folks faced that very punishment… when it was actually their very own Dear Leader who was pushing for that for “other people”. They are arresting people, but not on serious charges of course. The guy with his feet up on the desk is looking at a year max. Its coming out now that my suspicions were right, there was a stand down order given. ---

I should explain that. I’m seeing that the NG was requested to respond by the DC mayor, but since DC is not a state, that request had to go through the federal government, which is Trump’s lackeys now. ---

Bullshit. We have HD video’ of this shit. This was the point I was trying to make about the rule of law. Everyone can see that these people are being treated differently. We all know that if it was anybody other than white people they would be facing some serious charges right now. This is a huge problem. If these assholes can get away with sacking the US Capital and only face a year in jail, and in my state you don’t go to prison for less than a year you go to jail, then way should anyone worry about anything. People are doing more time for pot than these people are looking at. ---
