# US Dopers: Do you know what county you live in?

Counties are kind of meaningless in Massachusetts… Even though Newton is a suburb of Boston and is designated as a part of the “Metro-Boston Area,” with a subway line and everything, it’s in a different county from Boston itself and most of the other suburbs, certainly the closest ones.
