I was going to mention that today. I posted about this [months ago](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/michigan-democrats-supporting-pro-trump-candidates-in-gop-primary/969086) and was appalled that the party would play with fire like that. Because it worked (this time) they’re now geniuses, but I still do not support this tactic. It could have backfired badly. And it’s still deeply un-democratic at its heart.
