# US retail source for polypropylene sheets?

I have a bunch of project ideas that would be perfect for thin, flexible polypropylene sheets of the sort used for [folding dishes](http://www.fozzils.com/products.html), [cool origami](http://www.flickr.com/photos/polyscene/sets/72157604933179775/), [lamps](http://gadget.brando.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00624), and [DIY bellows](http://www.franksworkshop.com.au/CNC/Bellows/Bellows.htm).
I can buy some three ring binders and chop them up, but ideally I’d like some larger uncreased sheets, like 18 x 24" or larger - without having to buy 20,000 square feet from an industrial supplier. Why is my Google-fu failing me? I’m in the midwest US FWIW.

Thanks for this; it looks like the largest sheets I can get in the thickness I want would be 12 x 12", in black - that will work for some of my project ideas. I’d still be interested if anyone has a source for larger sheets or sheets in other colors.

Contact your local plastics house - all big cities have one or more. They will be able to source large sheets.

OK - I found a local plastics fabricator who could order a 4x8’ sheet of 0.03" polypropylene, but his supplier didn’t have any thinner stock, like the 200 or 300 micron I was hoping for. Any other ideas? Maybe sign printers or something like that?

See if [these](http://www.dkgroup.com/igsbase/igstemplate.cfm/SRC=DB/SRCN=/GnavID=8/SnavID=11) guys have local distribution, or will sell to you direct. They have 10 mil thick Polypro.
