In the Wisconsin governor race, with 65% of votes counted, Democrat David Crowley is leading Republican Tom Tiffany 54.6% - 45.4%. Importantly for Crowley, the “WOW” counties – Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington – which are suburban Milwaukee, and usually strongly Republican, all have 73 to 81% of the vote already counted. ---

Counting in Maine is done at the municipal level instead of the county level, so it’s much more decentralized than most states. Many of those rural towns count ballots by hand, and ballot data must be transmitted to the capital by hand and not electronically. ---
