I for one largely agree with the OP. Nitpicking aside about whether groups like al Qaeda are 1) actually terrorists properly speaking, or something else; and 2) actually meaningfully separable from their funders and supporters in the USA. 😛 ---

Hmmm… I do believe Americans are kinda dumb. Their gun, fast food and greed addictions don’t paint a pretty or egalitarian picture. Letting their economy and space endeavours kowtow to China has been quite embarrassing, too. But, irrespective of all the nation’s foibles, I much rather the U.S. remain as the world’s [lone] superpower; in lieu of, say, the Ruskies or Chinese. I like my human rights and am willing to compromise to uphold them. ---

As I point out from time to time, “realize” is the British spelling _for the classically educated_, and this was a plot point in an episode of _Morse_ - because the Inspector noted that someone who was really an Oxford don would never have spelled it “realise”. ---

Just because the Luxembourg government is giving away tax money doesn’t necessarily make the populace charitable.
