I suspect there may be a USB issue with my PC. Is there a diagnostic tool that I can run to check it out? I’m having a problem communitcating with the scanner on the all in one and my feedback joystick controller (both of these things are USB connected) is fudging up.
Does anyone know of a way I can check the integrity of the USB root thingy?

Did you open up the device manager and see if they are listed as Ok there? That is the primary authority on whether it is functioning Ok or not.

thanks, yes the device manager shows nothing unusual, but I thought it might be something deeper in the system that wont be obvious.
