Just today, I posted a quotation from the OED. The author? **SHAKES** :eek: Also, **RTFirely** is Rufus T. Firefly, Goucho Marx’s character in Duck Soup. I love that movie. And it took me over a year to get it. ---

Watched _This Island Earth_ a few years ago and one of the characters was **Cal Meacham**. For awhile I thought **TubaDiva** was some weird play on “scuba diver”, until I realized it’s exactly what it says. I’ve had tons of others over the years but I’m blanking at the moment. ---

Took me awhile to realize that **Argent Towers** and I were hanging out in the same place… (at least in theory!). **TubaDiva** was (and strangely still is) **TubaDiver** in my head. ---

Reading “The Hunting of the Snark” by Lewis Carroll, I was surprised when I saw **Rilchiam** in the introduction. (It’s an answer to the Shakespearian question “Under which king, Bezonian?” if the person didn’t remember if the king was named Richard or William.) ---

Others in the thread expressed confusion that “surely **Boy George** grown up = **Man George** ” but he never returned to the thread to acknowledge this, which is when I realised he was pulling our leg and knew exactly what it meant. ---
