sugaree: Dangerosa was Eleanor of Aquataines maternal grandmother, and the mistress of her paternal grandfather, William the Troubadour - who “abducted” (sources aren’t clear on her opinion of the matter) her from her husband (William’s vassel). William was also married at the time and was excommunicated for this (and some other stuff, William was apparently not overly pious). Anyway, you can get some more - much of it fancy and little of it actual history, if you google. ---

Another who sees **unclivny** as ‘uncivil’ **//\etalhead** (I’m not sure if I’m using the right characters) took me a while to figure out because the character set my computer uses shows the left-hand slashes as Yen symbols. And **Winnowill** , I read your post three times and was still saying to myself “yeah, but she’s talking about the tree, right?” ---

Up until last night, I always saw **Slainte** and heard in my head “slanty” as in Homer leaning back in his chair and saying “mmmmmm…slanty” I’ve always wanted to write the hottie and ask what the heck it meant. However, last night as I was reading Maxim, I came across an article about St Patty’s day and alcohol (in the same article? say it isn’t so!) and found out that “slainte” is Gaelic and translates roughly to “let’s get drunk.” That is, if I decide to believe Maxim. I’m still stuck reading it as “slanty” though because I can’t remember the pronunciation. ---

When ever I see **Sam Stone** , the _whole_ song goes through my head for the _entire_ day. I may have to go dig the thing up on vinyl - I know I have it somewhere. there’s a hole in daddy’s arm where all the money goes… :o ---

Someone has named themself “Chuck Forbin”. When I first saw it, I assumed it was a statement, like, “Get rid of Forbin.” I have since figured out that it is not.
