Good thing it’s not in my fridge. The result would be me eating it with a spoon.
Or with tortilla chips & salsa. You fill half a bowl with sour cream and half with salsa. Scoop tortilla chips in it, getting a bit of both with each dip. I was introduced to this particular bad habit by a college roommate.

Or just scoop it up plain with Cool Ranch Doritos.

You can also mix it in when you mash potatoes. Not instead of the milk & butter, in addition to.

Mmmm, sour cream.

Hmmm…and the reason they put an expiration date on the carton is?

Next time we have potluck, \*\*Chronos{/b], how about you bring, um, er…the paper plates!

Mix it with a bit of prepared horseradish, and some chopped parsley and serve it as a dipping sauce with roast beef or even steak.

I ended up adding the leftover sour cream to cold borsht and feeding it to my fellow parishioners last Wednesday. Mmmmmm, church potlucks, the final resting place of ingredients I don’t like but other people do.

Next time you’ve got some leftover, mix it into the batter when you make brownies or other chocolaty baked goods. Even with mixes, the added moisture doesn’t change the composition much, and sour cream makes chocolate so much more rich and delicious.

A kindred spirit! I was beginning to think I was some kind of freak. Everytime I bring my potato salad to a bbq, everyone is suprised to hear it has sour cream. I never thought it was odd, but then again, I’ve never been a big fan of mayo. Potatoes, onions, sour cream and a tiny dollop of mayo -yummyl

Mix a spoonful in with canned baked beans. It makes a great middle of the night don’t have anything else in the house treat.

If you have any Frito’s around it makes a great dip.

No kidding. Leftover sour cream is like leftover chocolate. No such thing in my world!

How about a dessert?

Sour Cream & Raisin Pie.

It doesn’t sound like it would work - but it is wonderful.

Just for future reference, there is a very good baked ziti recipe that is made with sour cream. I found it on [allrecipes.com](http://allrecipes.com) and have never failed to get raves for it.

Also, allrecipes lets you type in an ingredient for the recipe search. That’s handy when you have something leftover that you want to use up.

I can’t eat nacho cheese Doritos without sour cream. Now I’m all hungry.

I also mix equal parts mayonnaise and sour cream in potato/chicken salad. It tastes less oily.
