Does anyone else do this? I’m not talking about once in a while but a certain line takes on a meaning to you and your friends. Example for years I have been using this line form platoon “No Sal, this is important, this is important” from the scene in the VC camp where, I think Johnny Depp gets his arms blown off, every time my friends are doing something that may end up backfiring but seems important at the time. We have been using it for so long it doesnt even register as a movie line anymore. Another one is the “as your attorney, I advise you to…” from Fear and Loathing, as an offer of some sort of advise. Once again it has become second hand. So has anyone else picked up lines like this? or are we just the biggest dorks to come down the pike in recent years? Dont answer that, we know we are. ---

I don’t think the server has room for all the lines I regularly use from movies and TV. _24_, _Simpsons_, _Princess Bride_, _Star Wars_, _Family Guy_… ---

I use “Next stop, rocket science” pretty frequently when I’m confronted with someone (who should know better) stating the obvious. It’s from the TV show Twin Peaks. –Cliffy ---

Mr. S and I do this on a ridiculously regular basis. We are movie/tv/music trivia nuts and are constantly challenging each other to recognize/name actors, identify who said what line (and get it right, verbatim) in what movie, and so on. It’s so bad that sometimes he’ll ask me, “I give up, who said that?” and I have to say “Me.” Yes, dear, I do occasionally say something original. ---

Yes my group of friends and I do nothing but quote movies when we are together. It drives or SO’s up the wall! Some favorites: “Just a bit outside” - Major League “Look at this fuqing guy” - Major League “It’s too high. Who gives a sh!t, it’s gone” - Major League “Zin tha, zin thu dwan” - Waynes World “Mr. Anderson” - Matrix “Say allo to my little fren” - Scarface MtM ---

“Oh you mean a Veeervulf” MST3k Werewolf episode. “Those turkeys” MST3k Riding with Death. Chase music in my head often comes from the epic adventues of Zap Rousdower courtisy of MST3k. ---

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is pretty much the script for my life. Some samples: “'Tis but a scratch” when you get hurt pretty badly but don’t want to admit it. and “Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.” when you have finished your point during a discussion. ---

That doesn’t make much sense to me… but then you are very small. (I am not, and its best used when someone grips at weightlifting.) Any Benderism from Futurama… Bite my red hot glowing a–.
