Sorry, I should have credited _Jaws_ with the line “We’re gonna need a bigger boat.” It is a great line to use when you realize that the job you have to do is much bigger than you had expected that it would be, and you are completely unprepared. and speaking of the Princess Bride, one that we use when people are leaving to go somewhere is: “Have fun storming the castle!” ---

“What’s that watermelon doing here?” - _Buckaroo Bonzai_ (used to point out something extraneous or useless) “Use enough dynamite there, Butch?” - _Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid_ (used whenever anyone screws something up.) There are others…I can’t imagine going through the day _without_ using movie quotes. ---

Way too many for my own good, but off the top of my head: “Use enough dynamite there, Butch?” quite often as **Uvula Donor** mentioned, but I try to save it for when someone makes a bad situation worse with overkill. “That’s some catch that Catch-22!” from the book and movie, whenever I’m stuck in a double bind situation. “Not the same Cord.” from the David Carradine flick _Circle Of Iron_, whenever someone finally gets the point or figures out something they haven’t been able to. “Wish you’d quit being so good to me, Boss.” from _Cool Hand Luke_ whenever someone is screwing me over. “The doors opened and a fig newton entered.” from _Animal Crackers_. A good line for when anyone walks into a room, you’d be surprised how many people have gotten instantly mad at me when they hear it. They feel they’ve been insulted but don’t know why, and never catch the reference. “Be magnanimous! You might be a fiend yourself some day!” from the old Daffy Duck/Porky Pig Warner Bros. cartoon where Daffy is the “Mustache Fiend” defacing posters. Comes in handy when throwing yourself at someone’s mercy. “No, I’m slow, you’re just slower.” from _Support Your Local Gunfighter_ on the rare times I beat someone, especially at something physical. “What a nice man.” from _Posse_ (1975). Bruce Dern says it with a perfect deadpan every time someone is obnoxious to him in the movie, so I borrow the line whenever someone is being an arrogant asshole. ---
