Far too many to be healthy really… ‘Into the mud, scum queen!’ I thinks it’s from The Man With Two Brains. My SO quotes from Star Wars ALL THE TIME - he’s quite fond of the ‘Sisterrrrrr’ one for family discussions, although all of the ones already mentioned are popular. **Phelan** already covered the ‘Two weeks’ one from Total Recall. ‘I smelled the whiskey on his breath…and I liked it’ from Carrie. The majority of our favourite quotes aren’t from a film, but from the TV series Red Dwarf. Any other fans out there should recognise delights such as: ‘They’re all dead Dave’ ‘These are my shiny things’ ‘FFFFIIIIISSSSHHHHH!’ 'I ask you again, Mr Lister “Do you have a cat?” ---

When someone messes up, say “Look what you did, ya little JERK!” Hundred bux says that the next thing out of their mouth is “What is that from???” Hilarious, and you can use it about a thousand times a day (if you surround yourself with morons, as I have.) Also, “Big McLargehuge!”, “Dash Runfast”, “Brick Thickneck”, (Space Mutiny MST3K) and (in a smarmy voice) " Our chair technology is light years ahead of yours." - MST3K I also care a great deal for “MAVERICK!!!” ---

ETA - It isn’t just movies and TV but also books, both popular and classical. Does that make it better? Of course even more people look at us weird when we do that, because fewer people know the books. ---

Not as much anymore, as I can no longer count on my friends having seen the same movies… college and high school friends were a different story. I often manage to work “suffering from a deplorable lack of curiosity” into conversations. Someday, someone will recognize it. I believe, I believe, I know it’s silly, but I believe. ---
