USPS Efficiency?

I just got a package here in Illinois that originated in Michigan, but had to visit Kentucky before it got delivered here. Scenic route, apparently.

Not untenable, unless Congress insists that they can’t have a subsidy. If Congress is willing to subsidize the dumbassery that Congress’s dumbassery creates, it can continue forever. Not at all untenable.

I mailed a letter to someone less than 5 years ago, to ask a question. I know the route the stuff takes from my local PO > regional sorting facility > her local PO, so I figured out how long it should have taken. I got her response in the mail the day I expected her to be first reading it… :eek:

Absolutely. It will be a sad, sad day when the USPS is forced to close up shop. It’s possibly the greatest bargain in the history of mankind: they’ll send an envelope practically anywhere for less change than most of us probably have in our pockets right now.
