# Vacation info: Yarmouth, Nova Scotia?

OK, my fall vacation is probably going to be to coastal Maine. I’m considering a side excursion for a couple of days to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Restaurants? Attractions? Accommodations? Transportation? Just pass? Any thoughts?

Well it’s a maritime center so a Light House tour would be in order. I would suggest a stay in any one of their beautiful Bed & Breakfasts. If you are coming from Maine I would take the Highspeed [Cat Ferry](http://www.catferry.com/) from Bar Harbor - unless you are not going to be driving that far north you can pick it up in Portland.

Transportation, how about their many moped rental places? Or do you need a car?

For dining a trip to Yarmouth isn’t complete without eating at [Rudders](http://www.ruddersbrewpub.com/). Have fun, and eat a huge Lobster for us !
