I hate my Hoover WindTunnel canister vacuum. The thing that retracts the power cord broke after a couple months. The wheels are held on by cheap pieces of plastic and most of them have broken off. It often gets clogged and spews dust everywhere. Maybe it was a low-end model or maybe I’m just abusive to vacuums. I need one made of titanium so that it’s impossible for me to break it.
Pfft. You can break things made out of titanium with a little time and effort.

Had a Dyson for years. Was pretty happy with it. The Miele cost about the same, but is quieter, more powerful, and better constructed. The guys at the store (which also sold Dysons) convinced us that bag is better than no bag. We’ll see.
I’ve heard excellent things about the Miele. I doubt I’ll ever have one, as my Dyson shows no signs of wearing out, but when it does, I’ll probably buy the Dyson Ball I’ve been lusting after. . . 
Unless, of course, Dyson has something even cooler by then.
