# Vague "identify this song," "The High Chapparal" soundalike

I ran across the theme to “[The High Chapparal](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu4g-N8bQKE)” on youtube, and it’s reminding me of a different song, a song I think was also the theme to a TV show, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s really just the beginning, with those staccato notes that’s reminding me.

Does it put anyone else in mind of another theme song?

Sounds to me a bit like Elmer Bernstein’s theme to _The Magnificent Seven_.

For some reason I’m unable to get to YouTube. But I did find an audio link elsewhere.

It sounds a bit like _Telstar_ by The Tornados.

Wow. Yes! That was fast. Thanks. That was really bugging me, but I couldn’t dredge that tune up out of my memory.
