Surely someone in Rite Aid marketing must realize that emphasizing certain words in their slogan makes it sound like a mafia vendetta threat? :eek:

This sounds like someone giving up outrunning a bear and accepting death, LOL! It is particularly apt illustration of why I closed my Chase accounts: “Trying to address an error Chase made in a deposit balance? Give up because the hope of winning this race is over!”

Not quite the same thing, but back when Wachovia was around I didn’t know whether it was supposed to be pronounced “Watch Over Ya” or “Walk Over Ya.”
(One sounded worse, but either could still sound sinister.)

one time I was standing in a line in a pharmacy and they had thos monitor playing little infomercial type of medical info bits … and the old ups commercial came on and asked what can brown do for you
I said with out thinking “brown can go down toilet like its supposed to” everyone laughed and remarked on how that has to be the worst slogan in recent memory

I used to work for General Dynamics (GD) making nuclear cruise missiles. We always wanted to steal General Electric’s slogan, “GE: We bring good things to life!” and re-purpose it to “GD: We blow good things to Hell!” Never took off though.

Delta Airlines’s slogan used to be “Delta gets you there”.
I don’t know about you, but for me that’s pretty much the minimum I expect from my flight.
