GE used to have “We Bring Good Things to Life,” which I always found sort of creepy in a Voodoo sort of way.

DuPont had the
“Better Things for Better Living Through Chemistry”.
Which was immediately rendered as “Better Living Through Chemistry”.
Ah, Psychedelics… how I miss ye!

Probably my faulty memory, but a while back I seem to remember a number of airplane crashes being American Airlines jets. Then I’d hear their TV ad: “We’re American Airlines, doing what we do best.” :eek:

Although 7-Up knew exactly what they were doing with that, the whole ad campaign was based around the pitchman delivering the tagline earnestly and everyone being shocked/angry/offended/amused by it. Wasn’t really accidentally humorous or threatening so much as it was designed to be taken “the wrong way.”

I find the new [“M.D. Anderson [del]Cancer[/del] Center”](https://www.mdanderson.org/) name to be disturbing.
The [del]Cancer[/del] thing suggests to me that they’ve given up on treating/curing cancer, and instead are focusing on more profitable areas like weight loss and breast augmentation.
