As far as the sex thing goes, I think I’m confusing the Vampire Chronicles with The Witching Hour and its numerous sequels (and now I’m reading Blood Canticle, where the two series intertwine.) And, frankly, I couldn’t remember if there was any sex in Interview with a Vampire. What I chiefly remember about that is reading it for the first time when I was a sophomore in college, and it giving me horrible nightmares. Other than that, it was a great read.

Frylock, my mention of vampires in the Bible is a reference to the whole Lilith mythology.
Well, not really. I have the book right here, and the scene in question takes place toward the end of Chapter 3.
The vampire women show up in Harker’s room at night and he sees how beautiful they are. One says “He is young and strong; there are kisses for us all.” There’s then a fairly erotic description of one of the hottest vampire getting down on her knees, licking her lips, bending her head down, and placing her mouth on…Harker’s throat. Dracula then shows up and stops the vampire women, but says “when I am done with him you shall kiss him at your will”.
That’s it. The scene is evocative of a woman about to perform oral sex on a man, but this is a Victorian novel. The only specific act named is kissing (twice) and it’s explicitly stated (twice) that the vampire woman is indeed going for the throat and not some other part of Harker’s anatomy.
I wish there were a vampire smilie, but I guess this is the closest:
I’m actually less interested in vampires than my username suggests (I don’t sleep in a coffin or wear black lace gloves or anything), although more interested than the average Jane.
