My ex, from Oklahoma, would agree.
But some Texans deny the existence of Austin, so it’s fair.
I went on a kayaking trip with some friends in Tennessee. They were familiar with the area but it was my first time. We were discussing plans for dropping off vehicles and the shuttle and stuff and they kept talking about parking at the bore fence. I was puzzled but didn’t ask what a “bore” fence was.
When we got there it was all very clear.
The land owner shot boars as in wild feral pig style boars and hung them on the fence posts. They were in such a state of decomposition that I couldn’t tell if they were hung complete or were butchered for meat and the remnants hung on the posts. There were a good 10-12 hanging there.
My limlted experience with horses is that they are very careful of their footing, even at full gallop. I’ve had them slow way down for a depression they can’t see the bottom of.
Cows are anal about where they put their feet. If you watch them walking you can see them tilt their heads to see exactly where they’re going. Afraid of snakes, I’ve been told.
I’m talking about dairy cows. Watch these girls go! ![]()
I love cows. And yes, I also love cheeseburgers.
This is a better illustration of what I’m talking about. Watch the one at about 0:15 stop and change direction.
