So about 10 years ago now I heard rumors of a form of male birth control that basically consisted of injecting a specific polymer into the vas deferens in men blocking sperm from getting out. The whole thing seems to have stalled, and no meaningful information on what the “hold up” seems to be shared, just alot of vague handwaving. It sounds like this would be a very popular solution, but nobody seems to be seriously pursuing it or if they are, they are being extremely quiet about it. I know we have a few biotech types floating around, is this product some kind of impossible vaporware? ---

According to some very quick googling, it’s stalled because the drug companies don’t want to disrupt the $20B (female) contraceptive market. ---
