Someone get me a firm date! My only calendar is on my Palm Pilot, and it doesn’t have Columbus Day marked on it! And I’m too lazy to google it, DAMMIT! ---

Okay, I set up the first VegasFest…Diane in cahoots with a Vegas Doper I believe to be Bristlesage set up the second. With the work of anyone that wants to help and although Diane hasn’t approved the site I set up, please email me if you think this works for you: [http://www.geocities.com/techchick68/vegas2003/index.html](http://www.geocities.com/techchick68/vegas2003/index.html) Gives you dates and one point of contact. In addition, if you have an LJ, please go by the link posted by Diane and post there but if we can get you all to email me (whether you like me or not 😉 ) and just jot off and email, it would really streamline things. I will do what I can to help coordinate the gathering, even if I can’t go. That site will be used to keep people updated as well as the LJ community. If you do email me, please put Vegas Dopefest in the subject so I don’t think you are spamming me. ---

Never thought I’d have a good reason to celebrate the patron saint of guys not stopping to ask for directions before. I’ll raise a toast to him this time though. I think I’m just a little too excited about this. My favorite people in one of my favorite places. I think I need to lay down now. ---

I’m another definite maybe. By the way, is it too soon to ask if anyone’s looking for hotel roommates? I’m looking at staying Saturday night for sure, and probably Friday night also. ---

**JustPlainBryan** and I are seriously considering going. We’re on the maybe list, strongly leaning towards “yes.” I found a pretty good deal on [hotels.com](http://hotels.com) for a weekend package (2 RT tickets & 2 nights at the Imperial Palace for $425–not bad at all). Hopefully they’ll still have that in a month when I’m ready to cough up that cash. ---

**Canby** and I are in. Our preference is for a hotel on the strip (we don’t wanna drive), but we’ll go along with the group. I am a bit of a claustrophobe, so if the hotel we decide on has two-room suites available, that would be a huge help. The Trop looked interesting, though it’s at the far end of the strip. ---

**manhattan** – the Flamigo does have two room suites…I have been talking to them and got some brochures from them in the mail yesterday. If people want, I will pursue that route… Just let me know. I can look at other places as well so if there are any recommendations or if we want to pursue the idea of two different hotels (on The Strip, if you want to go off The Strip, you are on your own) I can entertain that idea as well. ---

Hey, I thought I’d resurrect this thread by saying I should be able to come to VegasDope for one night (Saturday, Oct. 11). I plan to drive down Saturday morning and leave the next day. I need more info on where people are going to be that night so I can figure out where I’m staying. I’ll check out the LJ community as well. ---
