I received the confirmation for the room rates (meaning the rates are locked) today and thought I would refresh everyone’s memory. It’s not too late to spend Labor Day weekend in Sin City, flights seem to have dropped a little (probably not for long though.) So here’s the deal: Arrive Friday Sept 1st Casual diner/gathering Friday night Saturday Day, fun in the sun or gambling or seeing the sites; do whatever your heart desires Saturday night, pizza and beer party in my suite Sunday morning, meet for bloody marys and other hang over cures Sunday, possible tour to Lake Mead? Depends on the cost. If not meet for lunch. Just made my reservation: King Suite with big tub and a stocked minibar. I sure hope I am dating someone by that time, sure would hate to let such a large bed and tub go to waste. \< grin \> cha ching ---

This is killing me. I want to go SO BAD! But, I will not have enough vacation time saved up by then, and I simply cannot afford to take time off of work. And I need a vacation so desperately, what with all the over time I am working. Unfortunately, all that over time money is going to boring stuff like bills… :: pouts and mutters :: I never get to do anything fun… ---

Come on Wally, join us! Michi, it’s a holiday weekend, which is why I planned it over it. The hotel accepts check-in from 3:00pm to 3:00am. Which is great for those that need to take the red eye for financial reasons or work reasons. Also, if you arrive later than that and give them a time they will guarantee your room for you. Whoo hooo, VestalBlue and purplebear will be able to go! This is getting better! Over 40 people are Yeses or Tentatives…remember, you can bunk up with people – 2 people in a room runs you $49.50 a night (plus room tax). ---

I was late getting here, which hotel are you staying in? Is everyone staying in the same? You can find nice rooms at Excaliber for $65.00 on the internet sometimes. I really hope I can work it out so I can be there. What a lot of fun! One thing to plan when you pack, September is HOT. Who is interested in bunking? Underwear, farts, and snoring don’t offend me, so I’m not picky. 🙂 ---

That should read $49.50 each…the basic rooms are $99.00 a night. If you have 3 people in a room that would be $38.00 a person per night. (add on $15.00 per additional person above 2 people, max is 5 per room) ---

Yes, Techie, but you see, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday IS my work week. If I worked during the WEEK, it would be no problem. Plus, I am committed to working on that Monday as well. Damn my screwy schedule!!! And I was so looking forward to showing off my tattoos and proving that not all breast implants look fake…😉 ---

Diane, I called all over the strip…I really wanted to get the Luxor (excellent accomodations) but basic rooms were $119.00 a night. The cheapest I could find (for a holiday weekend) was the Imperial Palace. I wanted to make sure we were on the strip, in the action and cheap enough for everyone. It’s not the greatest of places but with a varied group like we are I think forming friendships and having fun will be the highlight of the weekend. Remember, this is a holiday weekend and they will take advantage of that on rooms. Hopefully, as time gets closer I can talk the sales guy into some perks. 🙂 ---
