Another Vegas resident who obviously doesn’t go to this part of the board often enough! Count me in…sounds like fun! I am pretty much a tourist guide to lots of friends, so for specific questions, let me know… by the way, for non-West Coast visitors, be sure to try In N’ Out Burger and Fatburger while you are here (real cheap lunch) and if you want the absolute BEST buffet (though not cheap), you have to go the PARIS hotel! If you all haven’t booked, the hometown airline is National and they just changed their policy - no more requirement to book in advance to save money! Same price if you book tomorrow, or if you book 5 months in advance! They do not fly everywhere, but I know they go to LA, SF, Seattle, Chicago, Miami and NY… Looking forward to it… email me if you have any questions! ---

First off, there is no yoinking Vegas allowed. We’ve got guys in white shirts and ties to teach lessons to people like you, **mouthbreather**. Don’t worry; they’ll come to you. Okay, threatening over. On to restaurants. Please note most of these are on or near the Strip and have entrees priced between $8 and $30. The **Triple 7 Brewpub** inside of Main Street Station has a large menu with everything from sushi (made at its own bar) to steak. They have a full bar but only feature their own beers on tap (but they’re pretty good, so that’s all right). They are a bit out of the way (downtown and not the Strip proper). The **Monte Carlo** also features a brewpub that’s supposed to be pretty good. I can check it out if you’d like. Both should be able to accomodate large groups. The **Pink Taco** and **Rock Lobster** inside of the Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay, respectively, feature some good Mexican seafood. They also have the advantage of being located in some of the “younger, hipper” hotels. A large group might be a bit more trouble at these places, but should be doable. The Rock Lobster, at least, takes reservations. **Buca di Beppo** I mentioned a couple of pages ago. Good food, great salads, and a fun atmosphere. Used to large groups. **Noodles** inside the Bellagio is a beautiful restaurant featuring Asian cuisine (primarily Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese). I’m not sure how large a group they can accomodate. The **Crown and Anchor** is a British-style pub with 24 British and Irish beers on tap. Fish and chips are great, the rest of the food is pretty good as well (yay, pasties). Tends to be crowed inside, but people neglect the nice outdoor seating area which should be gorgeous in October. Off the Strip, but not very. A cuisine you’re interested in? A golf course where I can reserve a tee time or get a price? Need to know if Tony Orlando is still going to be in town? Which place has the best rules for blackjack or 10x odds on craps? Let me know what you want to know, and I’ll find out. ---

Do we have a head count at each hotel? A non-doper (yet?) friend and I were going to go to either NY NY or the MGM, and wanted to be with the crowd. Thinking of seeing Carlin, and doing the indoor skydiving, so long as I keep my weight down. ---

I decided I don’t want to go after all. You people all suck. KIDDING! GUESS WHO BOUGHT HER TICKET TODAY??? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ::ahem:: I may be looking for roomies/luggage storage/something for Thursday and Monday evenings. I booked my flight in on Thursday and out on Tuesday since I couldn’t pick my flight times and I was worried they would screw me out of days. Turns out I’ll arrive at about 6:30pm on Thursday and depart at noon on Tuesday. Have I mentioned how excited I am? ---

Smeg- Some people (myself included) are getting there Thursday October 10 and departing on either Monday the 14th or Tuesday the 15th. Lots of people are coming on Friday the 11 and staying until either Sunday or Monday. (Monday is Columbus Day and some people have it off work). Have I mentioned yet that I’m excited? WOO! WOO! I’ve been jumping up and down ever since we started planning this, and now that I’ve purchased my ticket, I am so excited I could just scream. ---
