If you ate the meat raw, you’d get enough vitamin C. Meat has the vitamin, but cooking destroys it. Cecil did a column about this: Traditionally Eskimos ate only meat and fish. Why didn’t they get scurvy?
The glycemic index of rice is incredibly high. A high amount in one’s diet can contribute to Type II diabetes.
