**Roadwalker** I’m so sorry about your daughter. Cancer in children is such a horror, there aren’t really strong enough words to discuss it. Although I’m sure you’ve got support coming out of your ears, I have two web sites to recommend. The Cancer Information Service ([http://cis.nci.nih.gov/](http://cis.nci.nih.gov/)) is a great resource, and the people there are very helpful. The Children’s Oncology Group ([http://www.childrensoncologygroup.org/](http://www.childrensoncologygroup.org/)) does a lot of the most innovative cancer trials. If you’re not in touch with the people in your area, you might want to think about talking with them. I’ve worked with some of the COG people in the Seattle area, and they’re great people as well as great physicians. You and your family may already be as plugged in to the treatment options as you need to be, but I didn’t think it would hurt to send information you might already have. ---

I don’t have anything that I can say that hasn’t already been said here, and I feel like saying it makes it sound canned, but I’m incredibly sorry for your pain. I have a child on the way and I can’t imagine how I would deal with a situation like that. I can only hope for the best and let you know that we will all be here for you when you need to talk. ---

Holy cow you all are making _me_ cry now. And you are really giving me a lot off good feelings too. I don’t usually get a lot of TLC in my line of work and being the head of the household kind of exempts me a lot too. What a lot of great human beings you are. I shaved Naomi’s head this evening because she had a big ol’ bald spot from radiation. Now she’s bald all over again. Medical trials and options are being looked into by our oncoligist. We are already encouraged by news of options we may have. Prayers are already being answered. To all of you praying, God _will_ bless you back. Thanks again all. ---

**Roadwalker** , at our church we have a place during the general prayers in which people can speak the names of those they wish to lift up before God. Today I said “Naomi and the \*\*Roadwalker \*\* family”. I hope that is okay, I don’t know what religious leanings you have. I will continue to remember her privately as well. I do hope she gets better. If you can stand it please keep us informed as to how Naomi is doing. ---

She is beautiful! I’ve got a good ear and a nice shoulder if you need someone to talk to. My sons hemo specialist finally diagonsed him as having chronic ITP. You know it’s terrible when you can talk about medical proceedures and watch peoples faces of shock and then confusion about how flipant you seem. It bothers me as I am sure it bothers you to see a child of six with everything in the world ahead of them go through so much. Yeah, they have crabby times but Naomi looks like she takes in in stride like Dylan does. Sometimes you don’t sleep for days for fear something might happen, and other days you feel like locking the door and sitting in a corner alone and crying. Let me know if you or your family need anything at all. Keep me updated as time permits please. ---
