Here’s hoping you can avoid the c-section, **li-li**. Both of mine were born that way and you are right…takes a lot longer to get over. They do come out real purty, though, without being all smushed up.

First interview went very well…nice people, fun-sounding job…but no benefits and that’s a must for me.
I have another interview on Thursday with a major snack/soft drink company. This could be more up my alley.

They don’t induce for vbac because of the increased risk of uterine rupture. Not here, anyway.
Going upstairs for my Extreme Sport Napping, and sending Mr. Lissar (who has the day off because of my hospital visit) off to Costco. PRay for him- both that he survives and _doesn’t come back with anything really stupid_.

FWIW, I witnessed a C-section from the doctor’s side of the drape while doing clinical time, and it was one of the top 5 coolest things I’ve ever watched. The little girl came out purple, started screaming within about 10 seconds, and immediately turned the brightest pink I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, Gnat was a medical snowball. Waters started leaking, waited 24 hours without labour starting, induced for 18 hours, emergency c-section.
Right. I slept for a couple of hours. What do I want to read, and what do I want to eat while I’m reading?

My windows will start getting installed tomorrow _\_ so I’m taking the rest of the week off. 😃
Regarding the ancient WW recipes, I first joined in 1976, when you could only have 4 eggs a week, you had to eat fish at least 5 times, and you had to have liver at least twice. Lots of other really tough requirements, but I stuck it out and lost almost 50#. And, alas, gained in back and more, but still… It was really tough because you couldn’t eat any real food - everything was a mocked-up simulation of food. The only thing at was really good was the “milkshake” but I lost the recipe. There was also a pumpkin bread made with breadcrumbs instead of flour that was mighty tasty. Also lost that recipe…
Lessee, what else - it’s gorgeous out, and it’ll be gorgeouser for the rest of the week. Perfect time to have windows installed. When I get up tomorrow, I’ll have to take down all the curtains and blinds and start washing them. Since the weather will be nice, I think I’ll put up the clothes lines and let MamaNature dry for me.
I may even take the time to do my taxes! Hooray for days off!!

My internet was down all day on my day off. It was actually very nice and boy howdy did I get things done! :eek: Makes me realize how much of a time suck the internet is.
Tis a gorgeous day hereabouts: 60, and sunny, sunny, sunny. Crocuses in bloom and daffodils are almost visibly growing. I opened the sun roof for my errands.
Off to make a pork roast for dinner. Didn’t read, but see no birth announcement. This is one passive-aggressive baby. 😛

I be a Brit so yes…a furriner…to be fair at least I have a job a lot of the other furriners were fired from the US when they moved me out ot Europe. Not that it has helped with the whole seeing the hubby thing.

Speaking of the '70s, KT was looking up airfare last night for some reason (I just don’t ask.) and fares in '74 were pretty close to the same as today, ignoring inflation. So in '74 dollars, a flight from Minneapolis to Chicago was about $50, and we can find $50 fares or sometimes even cheaper fares now in '10 dollars. Yikes. Those were some expensive tickets back then!
Following up on last week’s Rachael Ray issue, even I found the name of the dish I made last night too cutsie: [crepesadillas](http://www.rachaelraymag.com/recipes/rachael-ray-magazine-recipes/dinner-for-10-dollars-or-less-recipes/Sausage-Cr%C3%AApesadillas). Yes, really. A quesadilla made between two crepes. They were actually quite good, but not worth the effort of making crepes. Tortillas from the store work just fine. But the sausage was a good idea. We’re thinking next time, though, we’ll do chorizo with peppers and onions on corn tortillas with maybe a nice melty Oxaca cheese. But the basic idea of sausage in a quesadilla is a good one. If I can’t bring myself to say the name out loud.

I committed shopping this evening. Between the posted sale prices, my store discount card, and the (egad!) senior discount, I saved 35%. Imagine how much I could have saved if I bought more! But I needed a kelly green shirt for tomorrow, which needed appropriate costume jewelry, which also went with this snazzy hoodie, which could be worn with any of the three cami/tanks I bought, which also go with the two crinkle crepe blouses, all of which needed their own baubles and well, you get the idea.
