Does anybody else think [this picture of my dog](http://www.angelfire.com/tx3/jkbaker/images/hellhound.jpg) is kinda creepy? That, and the fact that I don’t remember taking it…it just showed up when I got the prints & disk.

You know why it’s creepy, Gunslinger?

Because, obviously, THE DOG TOOK THE PICTURE HIMSELF!!

I mean, think about it–he’s a dachshund. Why else would the camera be on the floor?

It astounds me that you will willingly admit to being the ‘biggest bitch in the world’, which I certainly believe (heck, it’s probably an enormous understatement), and then become that person instantly because someone questioned your use of a word. If a two-year-old child told you “No” you would probably slit it’s throat. God help anyone who would dare to venture outdoors when you are around.

The whole problem…apart from your clinical psychosis…is that you are not the final authority on word usage. That honor goes to Cecil, who kindly allows the OED and other reference sources to quote him on occasion. But, if I may say so without arousing your flaming ire, your grammar and sentence construction could use a little work.

Dammit, it worked for me and (apparently) Cher…just go to my homepage and then the “doggage” page. It’s the bottom one.

Its just the reflection of the light, nothing’s strange about that, but this is _IMHO_. Especially if you have one of those non-SLR cameras, because the eyepiece and the lens are displaced; just because at your angle you didnt see it the lens might have picked it up. If you do have a SLR it might have just been that your flash wasn’t timed perfectly giving a different reflection (ie. if the flash was right before when it should have went off) on the eyes than the norm.

Well, I heard the door to our storage area/laundry room open, so I followed her. She had this weird look on her face, and she grabbed the door knob to the back door and tried to open it. When it wouldn’t open, she freaked out and started screaming. I unlocked it and opened it, asking where she was going and she just “woke up” and looked around. She then headed back to the living room, plopped down and was asleep. The creepy thing was, in the middle of the summer, it must have been 50 degrees and a fog was rolling in out of nowhere. Also, for living 20 ft. from a lake, there weren’t any frogs or crickets making a sound.

Sleep-walking people totally creep me out! My ex-husband used to do it sometimes. **Very** strange look on his face. I’ve always heard you shouldn’t wake them up, but I suspect this is an old-wive’s tale…

Ah, I see I’m not the only one that thinks sleepwalking is creepy.

When my younger brother (he’s 16 now) used to sleepwalk, it would be very unsettling. He’d do crazy stuff like go outside and start taking off his clothes, take milk out of the fridge and try to pour it on himself…(haha, good thing he doesn’t go on the Straight Dope anymore because he’d be embarrassed! lol). One time he even came out to the kitchen when my mom called, and he sat there with us and ate all his dinner but didn’t talk to us. He had this blank look in his eyes so we could tell he was sleeping. Mom had me take him back to bed. Maaaaaan…heeby jeebies!

Is anyone else freaked out by cows? I live next door to a farm, so every day when I walk my dog through the woods and down the path, sometimes the cows are on the other side of the fence. As soon as they see you, they just stop everything they’re doing and stare at you until you’re completely out of sight. It’s not even the fact that they stare, just the _way_ they stare. I can’t even describe it.

Reading “Big Secrets”, a book by William Poundstone, kinda part of the whole De-Bunking clan of books, videos, etc. Normally, Poundstone fills his pages with how magic tricks are done, how to cheat at blackjack, and other semi-secret stuff. But, in a discussion of secret frequencies, Mr. Poundstone hit upon a strange phenomenon that has NEVER failed to scare me to tears…and I mean CRYING.
>
> Apparently, there are radio transmissions that can be picked up on shortwave during U.S. night hours. These frequencies, when tuned in, will reveal a female or male voice, in any number of different languages, reciting NUMBERS in patterns of five. Just…numbers. I can’t explain why this freaks me out so bad, but it does. ALL OVER the world, all different languages.
>
> On the same note, there’s also a strange melody that can be heard on a particular frequency. Poundstone describes it as a “12 note, plaintive, flutelike melody.” Oh my God, that one scares me SO BADLY…I swear I can imagine hearing it at night…coming out of my radio…just repeating…endless.
>
> Ugh. Anyone else find this scary? I’ve already teared up just talking about it. \*\*

Um. The first one sounds just like your usual spy talk to me… Here, try tuning in.

That other one is a little bizaare. Some sort of homing signal? Somebody with weird taste in music? Never heard of it before.

It was an SLR (Olympus OM-1), and I know that’s probably what happened, but it’s still creepy. Not just the eyes, but the whole thing–I’d hate to run into something that looked like that in a dark alley.

Just got the photos back from a trip to Las Vegas. My SO is very photo-averse, so I rarely get a good picture of him. I was about to frame a picture of him sitting at this gazebo-bar in one of the hotels. However, on closer inspection, you can see a old guy in the background _picking his nose_. Oyf.

I picked up a hitchhiker once when I was driving down to Tampa to see my girlfriend (wife, now). We chatted for a bit and she told me she was going down to find some weekend work to support her duaghter. A little later she told me she was a hooker and asked if I wanted to fuck. I said, “no thanks – I’m just going to see my girlfriend”. She asked again, and again. I said no more firmly. She decided she wanted to be let out at the next rest stop. Fine. I let her out. It was vaguely creepy.

Sometime later I saw a news report on Eileen Wournos, the serial killer. It was her.

That was _very_ creepy.
