Vet looking at older dog's liver. Thoughts on why?

Take this with a grain of salt: our #2 dog (recently deceased) had several fatty tumors; vet said not to worry, if they were spongy, everything was OK, if a tumor was hard, cause for concern.

KarlGrenze, what say you?

It still could be fat tumours, but I’m OK with making sure they’re both benign. No cause for much worrying yet, why would you let Kona see that, when Kona is otherwise being a healthy happy lovely pupdog? Right? Good on you for wanting to make sure all the lumps are benign. If they’re not, then that’s another pathway to go through which I hope you don’t have to take.

Lipomas.

Hard, nodular, oddly symmetrical lipomas (in terms of placement on his body) that are more embedded in tissue than normal. Vet sampled and they are fatty. We caught them early and they are more embedded than many are, so it wasn’t as obvious as they sometimes are.

Kona thinks he had a very strange morning, but he’s a laid back guy. It’s all good as far as he’s concerned. He got a car ride and to meet some new friends. Of course, he doesn’t know the vet said he should lose 10 pounds.

Phew.
