You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Video ads on the Dope? It’s bad enough I’m forced to use IE on this computer, and can’t download any AdBlock scripts for it. But to have fucking video ads at the bottom of the forum page?!? ---

If I use “search”, from the forun or from the “advanced search” page, nothing happens when I click "search’. Even in I wait a while. But if I try again I get the good old “wait a decade or so” message. I’m gonna join **Munch** (up there) in protest. Peace, mangeorge ---

Nope, it’s worked fine for me. Dunno why you had a problem. Some times the board works better than others, that might be a factor. It’s nearly midnight Eastern time Saturday as I type this. I realize if I had tried searching at, say, 5 pm on a weekday, seaching might not have had a good ending. Use google when you can, that helps. Sorry you had a problem. ---

If you have to use IE install this addon for it. It blocks ads, just as Adblocker for FF, but also has a zillion other features. It’s also free. [http://www.ie7pro.com/](http://www.ie7pro.com/) ---

Some employers won’t let you use the non-standard browser, even if it doesn’t mean installing anything. Sometimes they have an exclusive deal with Microsoft, use special tracking software that only works in IE, or are just paranoid that something might go wrong. ---

So, what exactly is the cutoff for when the ads are considered to be obnoxious? “The ads spawn half-page flash pictures that obscure the text of the thread when your mouse cursor goes anywhere near them!” – $14 and you won’t see ads. Also, take your meds, Michael. “The ads play loud music and unpausable streaming video!” – $14 and you won’t see ads. Also, turn off the sound on your computer, stupid. “The ads feature hardcore sex–with sound, video and barnyard animals!” – $14 and you won’t see ads. Also, why are you such a prude? “The ads installed a virus on my computer!” – $14 and you won’t see ads. Also, you shouldn’t be browsing without anti-virus software. Bestiality sites are _full_ of malware. “The ads impregnated Sarah Palin’s daughter!” – $14 and you won’t see ads. Also, shut up Sarah. ---
