Interesting feature of the vBB software. I’m not completely sure I understand how it works, as there are some threads with far more posts than views. But that’s a question for ATMB.
As has been noted elsewhere, some find it disheartening that many have viewed their post to a thread and have not felt a need to reply. Others seek solace in the thought that their final, thread killing post summed it all up beyond refutation or addition. I just like to know somebody got the benefit of my final observation on a subject.
It _is_ enlightening to realize how many hits a thread is really reaping.

I just had to reply so you wouldn’t feel like a total loser! 😃
I have noticed that the threads where the # of posts exceeds # of views are older ones, i.e. before the changeover, so I’m guessing that UBB didn’t keep track of views.

My guess is that replies+views = the number of visits. In other words, replies don’t count as views and vice versa.
How’s that sound to the pros? 🙂

Little Nemo, that’s not much of a revelation, is it? I mean, once you’ve identified someone as a troll, do you go around opening and reading their threads just to see what they say and risk getting more inflamed? Or do you ignore their posts because you know they will be worthless and pathetic, so why waste your time reading worthless and pathetic threads to which you have no intention of responding?
