Sweet jumping Jebus Burned Earth tuber dude, I love you wanting to bring information about interesting archeological finds. Anyhoo, only English archaeology privileges Lindisfarne. Actual Scandanavian archaeology uses a different periodization with way more focus on the 550-800 period being its own thing (Vendel/Merovingian/Late Germanic Iron Age) regardless of whether they were raiding (going viking) ---

I clicked it off when he made the announcement that Lindisfarne was the beginning of the Viking age I didn’t feel like dealing with the whole twaddle that normally gets passed around and the first 10 minutes was the same crap. ---

If you want to avoid “crap lack of research just for clicks,” I think you need to be careful which YouTube videos you watch. Some are bullshit, with or without A.I.-generated content. ---

Here I was thinking it was something about those doofuses in Wisconsin who carved [a stone](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kensington_Runestone) to try to prove Vikings had been there. (never mind that there would have been a chain of settlements and archaelogical evidence between L’ Anse aux Meadows (or wherever) and Wisconsin. ---
