I wasn’t a Dodgers fan but damn, he was good. One announcer I enjoyed listening to, no matter who was playing. ---

Wow. One of the greatest. I’m not a Dodgers fan but when I went to UCSB in the early 1980s I vividly remember hearing his voice on the radio calling their games. It was… music, sweet music. Rest In Peace Vin Scully. ---

“Little roller up along first BEHIND THE BAG! IT GETS THROUGH BUCKNER! HERE COMES KNIGHT AND THE METS WIN IT!” “High fly ball into right field … she iiiisss GONE! And in a year that has been so improbable, _the impossible has happened!_” RIP Vin; hope they serve Dodger dogs in the great beyond. ---

Here is his call of [Kirk Gibson’s homerun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4nwMDZYXTI). Note his sportscasting genius. For the first half minute he lets the crowd cheering do the sportscasting for him. ---

Any baseball fan in Southern California, Vin was a part of your like. TV and radio, he WAS Dodger Baseball.
