My computer is infected by an annoying piece of malware called virtumonde.dll, which I suspect is part of the reason it’s running slowly and crashing IE. Any dopers have experience or advice on getting rid of it? Any good programs I should download? Part of my annoyance is that it’s causing Spybot S&D to hang up. I’ve already done some googling but I know there are some smart people here who are much more computer capable than me, not that that’s a high bar. I’m hoping to pick some brains for advice. I’m not sure if this is the best forum, but I’m putting it here because the tech types reside here. If a mod wants to move it I’m cool with that. Thanks in advance for all your help! ---

It’s also called vundo. You can try [Vundofix](http://vundofix.atribune.org/) or [Malwarebytes](http://www.malwarebytes.org/) to clean it. ---

Reboot in safe mode and run Spy-bot from there. It should get all the nasties out.
