Screwdriver, right? My question is, (In your humble opinion) is there anything else one can add to this drink to enhance It? Seems someone mentioned grenadine to me once but I don’t think I want the sweetness. Bored in NC. UncaBeer? 😉 ---

that’s a tequila sunrise. if you don’t want it sweet, try grapefruit juice instaed of orange juice. it’s a salty dog if you put salt on the glass. I think. Other wise it’s a vodka grape. ---

If you put a bit of peach schnapps in it as well, you get kind of a twist on a fuzzy navel. ---

whoops, it would be a tequila sunrise if you were using tequila. lime and vodak is good too. a bullfrog, in the old days. ---

I thought a grapefruit and vodka was a greyhound ( I knew about the salty dog), but maybe that’s just what my dad calls them. I was sure that there was a name for vodka and cranberry, but didn’t know what it was. Hmm! We just call them vodka cranberries. ---

Vodka and cranberry juice = a Cape Cod. Greyhounds and Cape Cods are my favorite cocktails. ---

I’ve heard grapfruit and vodka as a greyhound, too. Maybe some Rose’s lime juice or triple sec? Tarts things up a bit. Myself, I put triple sec, a dash of peach schnapps, vodka, and OJ in a martini shaker and serve it strained so it’s cold, but no ice to spit out. It’s basically a fuzzy navel except for the ratios of the ingredients. In HS the standard drink was cheap vodka with lemonaide. Really not a bad drink, either. ---

Or forget the vodka entirely and mix fresh orange juice with champagne: mimosa. Wonderful for a really blow-out, decadent breakfast or brunch. Or just for the hell of it. Veb ---

I don’t know who’s worse, rick or lurkmeister. Groan… (LOL!) 😃 Anyway I think the cranberry juice addition is kind of what I was looking for. “Cape Cod” eh? thanks Cervaise. Sure are a lot of drinkers around here! 🙂 ---

It gets worse, Jake-- I think Lurkmeister’s drink is a commonly recognized one, and I think if you add Galliano you get a Slow Comfortable Screw against a Wall [from Harvey Wallbanger]? A couple of years ago I thought of one [really just the pretense for a half-formed joke] that I called the Brentwood-- OJ [The Juice], vodka [this makes a screwdriver. . .] tomato juice [fused with a Bloody Mary]; garnish with a Barbie head. ---
