# VoIP software for Mac OS 9? \[new title\]

xash…i looked through the computer questions and couldnt find what I was looking for. Im almost positive this has been asked before, but I couldnt find reference to it when I searched…

I live overseas from where I grew up. I would like to be able to “call” home using the internet. My problem is that I am working on a dinosaur of a mac…I am using an imac os 9.2

I cant use skype (which is what ive heard is the best) because it needs os 10 and beyond.

What is the best voip (i think thats what its called) software that I can use for my mac.

There’s really no reason to use software at all. All you need is a router and an analog telephone adapter (or IP phone). It’s all completely independent of your computer.
