Sooo glad I cheapskated out because it had stopped flowing by the day I would have arrived. Why doesn’t Mother Nature publish a schedule of her disasters??? ---

Have there been any reports on the status of the geothermal power plant in that area? ETA: I tried Googling for info on that but all the stories were from November and December. ---

Oh, man – I just checked into the live video link, and the lava flows have started into the town; you can see what remains of a couple of houses burning as the lava eats at them. ETA: Thanks, **PastTense** – I was just finishing up this post as you posted. ---

I was checking into flights on Icelandair for this August and there was a small banner on the website which mentioned the current volcanic eruption, with a note that it did not affect current flights. ---
