You could stick your fingers into the back of your throat to get the feeling. Work for me many times (especially when I have accidentally got fine fish bones stuck in my throat)

Great Answer. 🙂  
I came in here to say that the words “I’m never going to drink again” cause me to vomit repeatedly. But it only works if I’ve consumed a lot of alcohol.

Odd. When I was in the Navy, I met a guy who’d turn green and start heaving whenever he heard the word “Underweigh”. Absolutely true story. He got a medical discharge for chronic seasickness.
