Vote for women! Vote for blacks! No more whites in power!

[QUOTE=kanicbird]
furt I think you are being a bit dishonest, after the OP is about the slogan ‘No more whites in power!’.

[QUOTE]

I’ve read the OP a bunch of times and I don’t think that’s what it says at all. Can you quote the passage from the OP that implies this?

And…most importantly…who has advocated “No more whites in power”? Can you cite any specific organizations who have used this slogan? Any famous individuals? If not, you’re just arguing about a hypothetical slogan.

You and me both. I’m not a big Powell fan, but he at least looks like someone with some common sense and a sense of morality. Unfortunately, his reputation has been tarnished because of this adminstration. Maybe he can overcome that, but not while he’s the admins chump, I’m afraid.

Wow, you seem a little defensive. Why didn’t you just say you didn’t have a related link? I’m sorry, I can’ equate giving a person a sandwich as incentive to vote with the notion that people might “blindly” vote for a woman or a black man based on sex or race, nevermind your assumption that homeless people are politically unaware. And I never denied some people voted blindly; I’m sure many do. But that is not something that characterizes or defines voters (as a group) who would like to see greater minority representation in government.

I think this is an absurd notion in this day and age. They’d be called on it in two seconds flat. I certainly would have a problem with that characterization, as a registered Democrat.
