I guess I would take into account how many came down on each side and how much it it bothered some people. But the critical factor for me is where the board moderators came down on the issue. A sig is a petty affectation, why the gnashing of teeth over not being allowed to include it? Even if you think the complaints are petty isn’t this turning into a battle of pettiness? I mean most of us will always append the “Daniel” to the end of all your posts anyway. If I were you I would be pissed at Vox, everything was going swimmingly with the occasional swipe at Shodan, until Vox came along. ---

As for why I’m worried about it: I know I’ll violate it unintentionally, since it’ll mean undoing 2 decades of habits, and it irritates me to be put in that situation for what I see as an absurdly trifling reason. ---

I just tested this and was successfully able to record a signature consisting entirely of: Line 1 Line 2 Line 3 Line 4 ---

On the contrary. I work as a customer service representative, and my client is one the five largest retailers in the country.
