Voyager Has Left the Building, Er, Solar System

Is it still sending backwards glances (visual data from camera pointed at sun)? Or is it too underpowered to do that now?

Yes, I’d love to get a picture of our solar system, as it is left behind. Is the probe still sending images? I’ll bet the receive time for a picture is pretty long, though.

You realize that a photo of the Solar System from the outside would show one star that’s kinda bright by virtue of being close, and then a whole lot of empty space lit up by more distant stars, right? It would certainly be mind-boggling, but I think it would be a letdown after all the gorgeous close-ups the Voyager probes have given us.

Hell, if and when something finds it, they might just think that they were a couple of stylized letters from our written language, or something. :smack:
