Trump lowered taxes for me such that I saved $2000 on taxes last year? I have my taxes on my PC and I can tell you that is nowhere near the case. ---

Yes, and this is what Pence was pointing out. He actually said that you said that Biden will repeal the Trump tax cuts, but then say they won’t raise taxes on anyone under 400k. And after some back and forth, he said “are you saying he would only repeal those parts of the tax cuts affecting people making over 400k?” He’s right, her position appears to be inconsistent. I’m not sure if it’s inconsistent because she mischaracterized it, or because Biden’s plan is contradictory, because I don’t know offhand what Biden’s plan is. ---

It’s not inconsistent if you consider the possibility of some nuance - like repealing the Trump cuts but at the same time putting new rates that are the same or lower for under 400K. ---

She should just keep asking him new questions about acknowledging climate change. She’s trying to make him take a position and he’s blowing it off with bullshit and changing subject. The moderator needs to get on their asses and make them answer the fucking question. Mike Wallace was better than this. ---

She didn’t handle that question well, and as I’m trying to watch this as a neutral observer rather than rooting for one team over another, I thought it was a significant flub. ---

Due to the moderator’s clamping down there is very little give-and-take between the two. Each is just reading from a prepared script. Pence is lying or misleading dramatically but no one is calling him on it. They were told to read from a script and it shows. ---
